A Confidential Source
This mystery introduces Hallie Ahern, a reporter whose derailed career forced her to move from Boston to Providence, Rhode Island. She`s also a woman addicted to lottery tickets and nightly phone calls to a political talk radio show. Feeding her lottery obsession at a local convenience store one evening, Hallie inadvertently witnesses the shooting death of the store`s owner. She launches her own investigation into the crime when she`s convinced by various people--including the DJ of the talk show--that the murder was not the result of a botched burglary.
